Academic Shoot Reflection and Critique
1. What challenges did you encounter while trying to get the photos following the rules I set out for you?
It was hard for me to get an image to be perfect and the way I wanted to because I didn't want to disrupt the classrooms that I went to. Another challenge that I encountered was that I couldn't follow many of the rules because many of the students would move around a lot and I couldn't get a perfect picture.
2. What technical aspects of photography or the assignment in general (focus, framing, holding the camera, etc.) did you find yourself thinking about the most? Provide a specific example of what you did to do this correctly.
I think I focused the most on the rule of thirds and focus the most. I always made sure that the pictures wouldn't come out blurry and looked somewhat aesthetically pleasing.
3. If you could do the assignment again, what would you do differently now that you know some basic rules of photography?
If I could do this assignment again, I would definitely pay more attention on simplicity and avoiding mergers.
4. What things would you do the same?
I would make sure that the pictures are in focus and it followed the rule of thirds again.
5. When you go out with your next set of prompts, which rule do you think will be the easiest to achieve?
I think the easiest rule to achieve will be rule of thirds.
6. Which rule do you think will be the hardest to capture?
Lines and balance.
7. What rule are you still not totally clear on and what can you do to figure out what that rule is?
I'm still not totally clear on framing and I can look up on google or ask a friend to figure it out.
