Self Portrait and Portraits // Part 1

Best Tips:

  1. alter your perspective
  2. candids: being unobtrusive
  3. play with eye contact

Environmental

I picked this photo because I'm a dancer myself and I love how the photographer captured her stretching. I like how it's in black and white also.

I picked this one because I love cute boys and diners so it pretty much puts both of it into one picture. I love how candid it is and the photo has a lot of depth as well.

Photography Self-Portrait
I picked this photo because it really captures her emotions and who she is as a person. I really love the use of the smudged mascara and smoke.

I picked this photo because it really shows how powerful and confident she looks. I love the makeup and paint also.

Casual Portrait
I picked this photo because I really like the simple background and pose. It also kind of looks like a candid too so that's nice.

I chose this one because it has a really nice background and I like the use of eye contact because it makes the picture look more dramatic.

For my portrait assignment, I'm gonna shoot my friend Lilly in her backyard. To make the shot successful, I'm gonna take pictures from different angles to change the perspective. I'm also gonna incorporate rule of thirds and framing to make my pictures look good. I also want to take some candids of her because it'll make the pictures look more natural.
